Title: Heart Beat Words & Music By: Rick Denzien Listen to your heart beat – Listen to your heart beat – Listen to your heart beat Can you tell some one you love – pass the test of the white glove Have the guts or have the nerve look to see what you deserve What the heck is going on can you tell what’s right or wrong? Can’t afford to pay the toll – looks like you will loose control Listen to your heart beat – Listen to your heart beat – Listen to your heart beat What’s the chatter on the street can you stand up on your feet? Zaxxon down at the arcade got some spaces to invade Bet you never thought I know all the things that you would do You’ve got quite a price to pay tokens will not take it away Listen to your heart beat – Listen to your heart beat – Listen to your heart beat Bridge: Hearts don’t beat forever – and there’s an end to pleasure Oh no one knows for certain when it’s time Hearts don’t beat forever – and loneliness can never Be filled without a touch of love Listen to your heart beat – Listen to your heart beat – Listen to your heart beat © MMXIII – Slot One Entertainment, Inc. – ASCAP - All rights reserved

Words & Music By: Rick Denzien & Scott Carpenter He’s a master of finance – he’ll take care of your life He’ll surround you with wealth – while he waits with a knife You’ll think things are fine – your possessions they are nice so nice But you’ll soon find you’re living – in a fool’s paradise Chorus: Living in a fool’s paradise – before you give in you’d better think twice Who’s living in a Fool’s - In a Fool’s Paradise? You can’t believe what he’s saying – deep down you know it’s a lie If you can’t see the solution – you better open your eyes Instead of stumbling in darkness – you’d better head for the light For a life lived in darkness - is living in a fool’s paradise Chorus: Living in a fool’s paradise – before you give in you’d better think twice Who’s living in a Fool’s - In a Fool’s Paradise? Bridge = Guitar Break: Who’s living in a Fool’s Well don’t wait for tomorrow – think what you’re doing today For the keys of salvation – are just a whisper away He’ll break the bonds of your darkness – come join the children of light And say goodbye to the old man – living in a fool’s paradise Chorus: Living in a fool’s paradise – before you give in you’d better think twice Who’s living in a Fool’s - In a Fool’s Paradise? Words & Music By: Rick Denzien I dried all the tears in my eyes I ain’t gonna listen to no more of your lies Lord knows it ain’t easy When you stand right there And you tease me But I got a fire in my heart - I got to let it show – I got to let you know – I got a fire in my heart – Light a fire in the night – I know so very well things are not like they were There’s an evil in the darkness seems like nothing’s for sure When we were still young we would run to our mom But now the boys and girls run from the bomb (But now the boys and girls are storm & calm) But I got a fire in my heart - I got to let it show – I got to let you know – I got a fire in my heart – Light a fire in the night – Do you need some love in your life? – Yes I do Do you need love more than one night? – yes I do The news is so depressing on the TV And all these negative commercials they had their effect on me We just can’t sit back and watch the show We should have listened to the prophets of long ago But I got a fire in my heart – Light a fire in the night – Title: Fire In The Night © MMXIII – Slot One Entertainment, Inc. – ASCAP - All rights reserved

about

A real collectors edition. Recorded Live. This was the band I was taking on my 2nd Europe tour. Recorded Live in a makeshift studio near Sellersville, PA.

One of the most talented bands I ever had. I played my Fender Stratocaster (traditional finish) Wayne played a Black Fender Strat. I wrote the songs with the band in mind, but I arranged & rewrote Fools Paradise originally a co-write with my duo partner Scott in our first high school band Freeway.

We only had enough money to record 4 songs which is a pity because they were so talented and we had 2 sets of songs for the show. As far as I know, there are no rehearsal tapes, photos, videos rehearsal tapes or any other archive material for this bands existence. In the end, as the tour grew near, each member had problems with the amount of time on tour. The tour was to last 6 weeks, but in the end I was the only one who could go. Replaced the bass player and found a new drummer. But tragedy struck the bass player John Shebby got cancer and the drummer was killed in a car accident by a drunk driver. The bass player never recovered and died too.

So I found another bass player and drummer. But 2 weeks before we were supposed to head overseas, the drummer accuses me of lying saying that we were never going on tour and the whole thing was made up and worse. So I told him to note the moment so in the future he could remember blowing the only chance he'd ever get to go to Europe. Two weeks later, the new bass player and the cousin of Jimmy Jones, Terry were on our way to Europe.

Cool gig. The promoter took us to a music rental warehouse called Ryder and said to pick anything out that we needed for the tour. He presented our tour VW Bus and trailer and together with our sound man Joe we loaded up.

On my first tour to Europe as a solo, I worked a lot. 116 gigs in 6 weeks. Many days I had 2 or 3 dates. I met my life long friends Earnest & Tilly at a gig, they were true fans and followed me around from town to town. After about a week, they offered to take me to their home to rest with a private room and bath so I accepted. They gave me the door key and said come back any time. Which several times I did. When I was there with the band, I called ahead, but the key was still good.

For the recording, I practiced with and used a small blonde Yamaha amp, which is now used in the studio, to get that raw, unaffected, lack luster Stratocaster sound.

The only overdubs were the scant added backing vocals on some tracks.
